[AA] Ollie

As the first born, she was raised to be a lady and taught to be a fighter. Lessons ranging from how to protect herself to proper etiquette and table manners were shoved to her on a daily basis as soon as she was capable of walking and talking effortlessly. From languages to music, then embroidery to painting, she was constantly being forced to learn the ways to become a gently bred lady. Unfortunately, Ollie was quite a wild child herself and she’d always find herself skipping lessons to continue her training or play with other children her age in town, as well as go adventuring in nearby forests to climb trees and chase woodland creatures.

However, without Ollie’s realisation, her mother was silently drowning in her sorrows. Her father was a hard-working man, so much to the point where he rarely even comes home; this causes a rift between Ollie’s parents. Oftentimes, in her young naivety, Ollie would take notice of her mother’s bouts of depression and she’d accompany her mother to play music, hoping to alleviate at least just a bit of her sadness.

When Ollie was 9 years old, her mother gave birth to another daughter, Polly. However, not long after her labour, unable to contain her sorrow and the fact that her husband had not given her the love and attention that she had craved for, packed a few clothes she had and left in the darkness of the night, leaving her two young daughters and husband. This had caused her father to become very strict and regimented, and had started to drown in his work even more than he had before in an attempt to forget what she had done. Ollie grew up with her freedom restricted, and the constant reminder by her own father that she was very much similar to her mother. Her father had feared that Ollie would run away, just as her mother had, and further kept a tight leash over her and her sister.

By the age of 20, her father believed that she was of marriageable age and had decided to marry her off. This did not sit well with the rather free-spirited Ollie, who had no desire to be wedlocked at that moment. Much to her chagrin, her father had then provided her with a list of potential marriage partners, one of them bring an old friend of hers, and an officer under her father, Quentin. As much as she adored Quentin, marriage with him didn’t seem like something they both wanted, as they had only seen each other as very good friends, to the point she considers him as family. To make matters more complicated for her, Polly was the one who seemed attracted to Quentin.

Ollie felt extremely suffocated by her father till one day, she realised that she could not handle any more of his regimented ways and had ultimately decided to leave home. She told her sister this and fortunately, it seemed that her sister understood her. So, on one chilly evening, with what little pin money she had saved and nothing but the clothes on her back, Ollie fled into the night, just as her mother had did when she was nine. Knowing that her father would no doubt search for her and try to return her home as soon as he finds out about her disappearance, she chopped of her hair, dressed herself in male garbs and traveled to Linhythe, assuming that it would be the last place her father would look.

Life in Linhythe started fairly well for her, as she was able to sleep and eat for a few days in a dingy inn but as money started to dwindle, she started to take in small odd jobs to be able to survive another day. Eventually, she wasn’t able to earn enough money to keep her lodgings and she was booted out. Poor and without a roof over her head, she began to live in the street and became immensely fatigued from balancing various small jobs, until one day, she just dropped everything. She didn’t want to work anymore, but she didn’t want to die yet, so she thought that the easiest way to survive was to live off of others.

Ever since then, she survived in the streets in guise as a wandering traveler, talking to passerbys and pickpocketing them. And though her life was not as it was, she found that she was much happier living that way, without restrictions from her father and without having to appear very lady like in the presence of others.

However, due to recent events that had been occurring, Ollie had become rather wary of officers and people from the military, especially when they had found themselves situated in Linhythe, opting to travel back and forth between Koben and Linhythe, keeping herself amongst the shadows and away from their radars.

• Is under the guise of being a traveler from far away, using it as a tactic to approach common folks to either converse with them and/or steal from them.
• A bit of a kleptomaniac, she sometimes can't help herself from picking things up.
• She moves around a lot, but frequents Linhythe and Koben the most. She has yet to find a proper place to settle down though (and probably will not anytime soon).
• She's always seen with a cloth tied around her forehead when outside. She thinks it makes her look more manly (aka Don't I seem more squinty eyed? Like a real man?)
• Refers to herself in masculine pronoun. He, only he. HE, HE, HE.
• Close range fighter - would avoid getting into conflict whenever possible (aka preferring to flee when given the chance) though would not hesitate to get into a brawl once in a while.
• Prefers to fight with her bare fists and/or a dagger though at times would use throwing
  knives (or a slingshot LAUGHS). Acrobatic.
• Highly tolerant against the cold and mildly tolerant with alcohol.
• Has a particular fondness (near obsession) for music. She can be seen humming, singing or playing various instruments (that probably doesn't belong to her) in her free time.
